Man vs Food: Meat Trough

Posted in Uncategorized by Felix Tibs on the May 10th, 2009

I was lucky enought to inherit the leftovers from an office party this last week. It wasnt that the food wasnt good or that there was not much left. No, it wasnt even the fact that it was being pre packed up for people to take home. I think it may have had to do with the fact that when steak and chicken are left out in the sun for nearly 7 hours that the chances of ingesting some form of fungus or roto-virus is fairly high. Of course after living off of shack stews and various rodents for years, I have a nearly complete immune system…

As you can see from this candid picture that i am about to dig face first into this carne asada and pollo asado trough of meatz coated in a spicy salsa. No fork needed in this situation, a bag of chips will suffice. After hardening my stomach with a few quarts of pepto Bismol I attacked the conglomerate with such alacrity that my hand actually gave off steam from dipping so quick! The sauce was mega zesty with a good kick. After about 20 minutes I was about halfway done, and thinking maybe it was time to fit it into the fridge…

Here is a photo after about 30 minutes. For some reason I was still eating it. It tasted like oil and salt and the meat was no longer discernible from the chicken. Yet I continued to shovel sharp tortilla chip after tortilla chip into my slobbering gaw for some sadistic reason. fast forward to 2 hours later and the trough was empty. Completely devoured. I was feeling dizzy from the meatz but satisfied that this trough of meatz didnt go to waste! I mean, what could I have done, save it until tomorrow??? Hmmm….yeah that would have been smart!
